Fish’N’Fun is a fully equipped, 7.2 metre luxury Rayglass Cruisemaster, great to go Taupo Trout fishing, the vessel is marine safety surveyed and registered with Maritime New Zealand. Power is supplied by a 5.7 litre Volvo Penta V8 Petrol engine which produces around 320 BHP, this drives a stainless steel propellor through a Bravo sterndrive giving a top speed of 37 knots. With this setup we can get you to the best trout fishing spots fast, in comfort and style.We then switch to a smaller Yamaha outboard to keep our speed to around 2 knots which as well as being a suitable speed is much quieter.

 Fish'N'Fun has all the comforts of home, a separate enclosed toilet, hot/fresh water, fridge, microwave, 2 burner cooker and built-in insulated cooler to keep your catch fresh and chilled. The boat has a hard top canopy to keep you dry & warm, enabling fishing in most weather conditions.

Electronic equipment comprises a Furono GPS/fish finder & depth sounder to help in the hunt for those sometimes elusive fish. Most of the time we use downriggers for deep trolling. We also have harling and lead lines, increasing the chances of success. When fishing on Lake Taupo artificial lures are used, either metal or plastic. Baits, burley groundbait and attractants are banned from the Lake to maintain the clarity and purity of the water. The only nets permitted are landing nets. The current size limit is 40cm, any fish smaller than this must be returned to the Lake.
